You don't need to enter the control number on your W-2 into the program, unless you are trying to import it.
If it won't allow you to input this number, you may need to download and/or print a copy of your W-2 and enter your information yourself manually (i.e., type it in).
Add/Edit/Delete Form W-2:
- Open your return (if not already open).
- Enter "w2" in the Search box.
- Click on "jump to w2" link.
- Import or Enter you information manually. If you land on your W-2 Summary income page, you can click on the “Add” button to add another W-2 or on Trash can to the right of that particular W-2 to delete it.
