Thanks, I am using the Windows Deluxe desktop version, and did use Turbotax in 2023 so my data was transferred.
And yes, I did see the screen with 5 boxes. I could never get a screen that showed just 1099-B's even if restarted the program and selected that I wanted to manually select what I want to work on in the 1099-B section. It's apparent that neither the head designer, the programmer, QA team, or department head ever tried entering 1099's with a view towards usability, but only made sure the new code didn't break. With major changes like that, they should have had a focus group of people who had to enter complex returns. I've read that around 35% of the people in the US use Turbotax in one version or the other to complete their tax forms. Surely they have the budget to do testing.
