Rental to primary residence: personal use during the year
I have a rental where tenant moved out 04/30/2024 and I converted it to my primary residence immediately afterwards. However, I did not actually move in until May 20, 2024.
#1) Is it correct that days rented is 120 and for "personal use during the year" should I enter 225 days or should I enter "0"?
#2) Under the expenses section, should I manually prorate based each expense based on the percentage of the year it was used for the rental (ex: property tax for the year was $2,000 so should I enter $660 ($2,000 x 0.33?)
