If you choose to enter it each year, it is reported on the same line as other interest on sch B. You can go to federal income, investments, enter 1099-INT and Treasury Direct with the amount or wait until the bond matures.

You have a choice. You can
- put off (defer) reporting the interest until you file a federal income tax return for the year in which you actually get the interest, or
- report the interest each year even though you don't actually get the interest then
