If you are using a TurboTax desktop program, you may be able to edit that number in Forms Mode.
Click on "Forms" at the top right of your TurboTax screen to switch to "Forms Mode." And then scroll down your left panel to find the Form 5695 Residential Energy Credits.
In your right panel the form will display.
Did you go back to your screen in TurboTax where you entered it and delete all of the information and re-enter it? That may trigger a change.
You can do this as follows:
Click on the search icon in your upper right TurboTax screen
Type "residential energy credit" in your search box and hit enter
Click on the link "Jump to residential energy credit"
