I lived in 2 states last year. The state wages have a higher amount on my w-2 than there should be. I was employed at a job in Oregon but was allowed by my supervisor to work remotely from Washington for 3 months until my transfer went through. HR would not change my withholding state to WA until my transfer went through even though I was living in WA. Can I just report what my income for Oregon SHOULD have been or do I need to fight to get a new w-2 which probably won't happen in the end?
