Get your taxes done using TurboTax

what do you mean, the tax file or your return?

once you've paid or made arrangements to pay any fees, you should be able to print a copy of your return. It can be to paper or saved on your computer as a PDF file.  (print to PDF). Turbotax DOES NOT do this automatically.

also it's a good idea to store a second PDF copy on an offline drive.   Turbotax only maintains the program for the current year and the 3 prior years. after that you will not be able to open the xxx.tax20XX file.  The pdf will still be readable. After 7 years, Turbotax deletes the returns and related info.. It's Permanently gone and the IRS does the same

you should also be able to upload a copy of the .xxxtax20XX to your computer. After Turbotax stops support, if you need a copy of the return (you didn't make a pdf), there is currently a website where you can submit certain year's tax files electronically. They'll send back an actual copy.  Be aware that they are not affiliated with Turbotax. Use at your own risk,
