Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I had same issue. I took a photo of the 1099-G and it was entered on 2 different lines of the schedule. Once in the correct place (line 7) and once in the incorrect place (line 8z) as RTAA payment. This bug on turbo tax side effectively caused my tax due on PFL to double and also increased my state (CA) tax.

Although I contacted support, they did not have a specific solution documented, so the solution @0x24a537r9 posted ended up working for me (thank you). I originally used the upload via photo. Once I removed the original entry (deleted that uploaded document, revisited paid family leave section and selected no I didn't receive paid family leave, deleted the previous entry for paid family leave) and reentered it all manually, it was fine and only listed once. Fed and state tax due went down

I agree that this is a bug and a especially dangerous for first time parent who may not be combing through the actual 1040 for errors before filing. It also didn't seem to be on turbo taxes radar.
