How can I find my 2023 pin because my 2024 return is rejected every time I try to filed my 2024 taxes with error message IND-032-04. I have checked the AGI and it is exactly what is on line 11 of my 2023 tax return.
Are you filing a married joint return? That rejection code indicates a spouse problem. You don't have to have the self-select signing PIN from last year.
IND-032-04: The spouse's AGI or Self-select PIN from last year doesn't match IRS records.
It is most likely the spouse's 2023 AGI causing the problem. How did you both file in 2023--was it a married joint return last year? If the 2023 return was a joint return, then you both have the same total 2023 AGI. Do not divide it. If you have tried that first, and if it didn't work, then use the total 2023 AGI for the primary filer, and for the spouse use a 2023 AGI of 0 (zero) and see if that works.
If you were not married last year and filed as single or filed married and separately, then you would each have your own 2023 AGI's from your separate returns last year. If that's your situation, and if you already tried that but it didn't work, try $0 for the spouse 2023 AGI.
Also, in order to "sign" the return, you will both be asked to enter any 5-digit PIN of your choosing, consisting of any 5 digits, except it can't be all zeros. It's on a screen with "today's date" and your birth date.
