Get your taxes done using TurboTax
For work, you moved to MN and then to Iowa. MN is clearly nonresident. Do you intend to return to PA and still have PA address and license, voting, etc? If so, then you are a full year PA resident and PA will tax all of your income AND give you a credit for all the double taxed income.
If you were a part-year PA resident and part year Iowa resident, then each state should only be taxing their share.
Review what you have for your resident address and review your state selection of residency. You may need to:
- mark a non-PA address in general info,
- go to PA and select part year,
- fill it out and
- then change your address back to PA in general info if you are using a friend or parent's address to be sure you get mail.
