Issues with 2024 Turbo Tax deluxe

Issues with Turbo tax deluxe 2024 that I encountered when filling out the forms

  1. Oregon OR-ASC form (used in 2023) did not appear as part of the Oregon return. I had to go get it. If I used it last year, I believe it should be included, so I don’t forget it.
  2. Form K-1: I’m getting an error on line 2. The form is asking for a profit or loss so it should be a number.  Yet Turbo tax wants me to erase the loss number provided by the payer firm’s K-1 statement and leave it blank. I do not understand this.  I finally had to remove the loss provided by the payer in order to e-file . SO now the tax return disagrees with the tax form provided by the payer to the IRS  and I suspect the IRS will catch it. Even talking with Turbo Tax help desk did not resolve the issue.  I suspect it is a bug in the software program.
  3.  Payers Tax ID number was not transferred from last year’s return of  a number of 1999s used last year. , so I had to manually enter the numbers. Not sure why.
  4. On some form lines, Turbo Tax will not let one enter information. Instead it has to be entered on a different form. Yet there is no pointer to that different form forcing me to try to figure out which form I can enter the number on and then I have to hunt for it and that takes lots of time. I’ve encountered this several times, In past years, I recall there being pointers when this situation occurred. The pointers  feature should be added back in.
  5. The program asks me if I got a 1095-A from my health insurance company, instead of form 1095-B which was provided to me by the insurer.
  6. For annuities that are a monthly payment, the form asks for a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) number but that number is not provided by the annuity payer. The Turbo Tax help desk suggested  I enter 0, but I don’t know if that is right. On my OPM pension, there is no RMD on the OPM website so I have no idea what the number should be.

I didn't know where else to post this so I hope it is in the right place. Ther should be an Intuit email for this sort of thing but the help desk didn't know it and suggested I post in the community.
