Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Are you able to file if you remove the IRS form 1099-NEC? What kind of income is the IRS form 1099-NEC reporting? I would expect it to report self-employment income in a self-employment activity.
If that is the case, in TurboTax Premium Online,
- Report the IRS form 1099-NEC income within the self-employment activity, and
- Remove the IRS form 1099-NEC income.
In TurboTax Premium Online, follow these steps:
- Down the left side of the screen, click Federal.
- Down the left side of the screen, click Wages & Income.
- Click on the drop down arrow to the right of Self-employment.
- Click to the right of Self-employment income and expenses.
- At the screen Your 2024 self-employed work summary, click Edit.
- Click the pencil icon to the right of Income.
- Select Add another row and report the amount of the IRS form 1099-NEC income.
