The IP PIN is obtained from the IRS.gov account. The problem with TurboTax is it doesn't ask you anywhere for the IP PIN but if you have one your filing will be rejected. To enter the IP PIN on TT Premier you need to go to Federal Taxes> Other Tax Situations> Identity Protection PIN then click Sart or update. You might also have to enter one for your spouse so be careful. Its nowhere in the Step by Step questions.
