For anyone having this issue, I was able to find a workaround. Changing the purchase date and the put into use for the business date to 1/1/24 (rather than May when I actually bought the car) opened up the Section 179 Deduction and Bonus Depreciation calculations.
Don't know why it works that way and seems like a bug but at least the solution wasn't super painful. Hope this helps someone else.
