Thank you for your response, but it is not required to file an amended return for 2023.
I can attribute the portion received in 2024 for 2023 to tax year 2023 (based on 2023 AGI), or base it entirely on 2024 AGI, per my understanding.
You may get a tax savings by looking at it both ways, or not.
