The amount on Schedule A - Line 5 includes taxes that were taken directly (withheld) from paychecks or other payments you received (reported on a 1099-R, 1099-G or other tax form).
If you see an error please go back to the Federal Taxes tab (Personal depending on version) > Wages & Income sub-tab (Personal Income) > Review each section to determine where the mistake was made and edit as necessary.
