Get your taxes done using TurboTax
You initially stated that you required a PIN.
There are two possible PINs involved.
- When you filed your initial return you entered a 5 digit PIN on the return.
- Am amended return would require that same 5 digit code.
- This code was one that you made up, and no one else has.
- The second type of PIN is IRS generated, and is a six digit number
- You typically enter ID.me on the website of the organization or agency
- It protects your access
It sounds like you need the ID PIN that you originally entered on your tax return
If all else fails, you can mail the amended return.
