Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Are you trying to change your mailing zip code to 5 digits on your return? The way to change your address on your return is in the My Info/Personal Info section of the interview where a screen asks the user outright what to use for one's mailing address. It will accept a 5 digit zip code there. The box there will even accept a 9-digit zip code with the hyphen. But, as indicated in this thread, when it comes to printing out an actual Form 1040, apparently the hyphen is not used. At least that's been my experience in the desktop product ever since the IRS changed the 1040 address layout in tax year 2020. (I'm not using the online version, so I'm not able to test print an actual Form 1040 in Online TurboTax.)
