I am in almost the exact same spot, except I’m on disability, so I haven’t had to file taxes in many years because my income is way below the limit and in December I tried to get information from everyone because I was worried about any potential tax liability. I have no idea how much I’m getting and I have no idea what the tax liability is. I was told by the accountant the trust manager and the lawyer that and the trustee that I wouldn’t owe any money for 2024 because I haven’t been given any money yet and I wouldn’t get any money till 2025 and that will go on 2025 taxes if I owe something which now I’m finding out is not correct potentially because I had to give my social to the accountant and if I have a tax liability, I do have to file by April 15 of 2024. I tried to remind her that I asked her about it but she’s too busy at this point and late March to really have any dealing with the fact that I talk to her about this in December so I have to talk to the lawyers and the trust person and the trustee, but it’s really frustrating that I’ve tried to avoid this problem and I may be left holding a large bag because I don’t have any money to pay anything
