Yes, you need to report the interest earned on your CD held in a a Credit Union in Puerto Rico.
Please follow these steps in TurboTax Online to enter the interest you earned:
- Sign in to TurboTax and choose continue or Pick up where you left off
- On the left side bar, choose Federal and then Wages & Income
- Scroll through the Income section and select Add/Edit next to Investments and Savings
- Click on the Add Investments box
- Click on the Enter a different way box
- Choose the first box, Interest (1099-INT) and click Continue
- Choose Type it in myself
- Enter the amount of interest received in Box 1 and who it was received from
- Click Continue and walk through the follow-up questions
