Get your taxes done using TurboTax
replying to Terry007
Sorry to hear of the difficulties with your returns.
You may want to review previous posts in this thread, because if you get no where with the IRS customer service line, you might have more success with your local tax advocacy office. While both are supposed to be able to help taxpayers after 21 days from filing since information is supposed to be available for them to view, some of us have found the long waits for the IRS customer service reps only to be told they can/will do nothing (frequently claiming they have no information) extremely frustrating. Many of the financial sites recommend the local tax advocacy offices and one poster last week after not getting any help from IRS customer service line (after a long wait) at least got through to the local tax advocacy office quickly with hopefully the office continuing to pursue looking into the problem.
And I would recommend keeping careful records of any calls, including date, time, and the person you speak with. Some IRS customer service reps will refuse to give their name but at least they used to be required to give callers their employee ID number. Such records may be useful/needed if you have to continue to pursue the issues, although hopefully you can get it cleared up quickly. Good luck.
