I used TurboTax Full Service last year, and now I just found out they made an error in the depreciation basis for my rental property on my 2023 tax return. So, I’ve got to mail in an amended return (Form 1040-X). Problem is, that could take weeks or months to process, and I’m wondering if I can just file my 2024 return with the correct depreciation numbers without waiting for the 2023 amendment to be completed. Any advice? It’s disappointing when a paid service doesn’t get it right.
