This is called a clean vehicle sellers report which was begun to be required in January 2024. I bought my EV in that January and the dealers just weren't aware of this requirement. Using quicken my return gets rejected because the information I'm putting on form 8936 does not match the IRS's database of vehicle sold. As part of my question, I'm also interested to know if there's a way that dealership can submit this form online rather than hard copy
