Get your taxes done using TurboTax

If you want to change your filing status in TurboTax Online from Married Filing Jointly to Married Filing Separately you can do the following:

1. Click on the search icon (magnifying glass)  at the top right of your TurboTax screen.
2. Type "filing status" in the search bar that pop up
3. Click on the link "Jump to filing status"
4. It will take you to the questions about yourself and your family
5. Continue through your screens until you come to "About Your Household"
6. Click on "Married" and more options will appear
7. Select "Plan to file separately"
8. Select "Continue"
