Try the following steps to see if it will open the amended return for changes:
- Click State Taxes
- Click Add State (you will not actually add a state, this will just open the return for changes)
- Then see if the options above are available
- Download your .tax file
- Then download TurboTax Desktop 2023 for or for Windows or for Mac.
- Finally, open your .tax file using TurboTax Desktop 2023, and amend your return. Learn more.
