I did this also, and when I contacted turbo tax when my taxes had been rejected (03/15/2025), I did chat sessions with 2 different people. I mentioned that I was the one that paid 100%, but could only claim 50%.
Hopefully the update tomorrow will explain how one person can claim credit.
