Thank you. I reviewed the post you referenced but didn't see anyone reporting the specific error message I received.
In looking back at the 2023 Schedule E Smart worksheet (first year I used TT), TT put my losses in the Regular, QBI and AMT columns even though I did not claim QBI (nothing reported on form 8995).
For 2024, TT filled in my regular total Pre-2018 operating loss as a positive number in the 2018 operating loss QBI column and as a negative number in the 2022 operating loss QBI column. It also put my regular 2023 loss in both the regular and QBI operating loss columns. (Again no QBI claimed in 2023).
Could these entries be why I am receiving the error message "QBI Passive Op Loss should not be greater than the total loss"? If I am again not claiming QBI for my rental property, should I just enter zero in the QBI (and AMT?) columns? This is all very confusing....
