My long-term girlfriend and I are thinking about entering into a domestic partnership.
If we choose to do so, are there any tax implications? When we file taxes next year, can we still file as Single and separately or would we need to file as Married? For context we live in a state with no income tax so my question would only apply for federal income taxes
