Get your taxes done using TurboTax

If you are trying to enter your Form 1099-OID in TurboTax you can use the instructions below.

To enter your Form 1099-OID, in TurboTax Desktop,  you can:

1. Click on "Wages & Income" 
2. Select "I'll Choose What I Work On"
3. Scroll down to "Interest & Dividends"
4. Click on "Start" or "Revisit" next to "1099-OID"
5. Your screen will ask "Miscellaneous Income Check any that apply".
6. Select Form-OID for original issue discount income
7. It will ask you to refer to Form 1099-B to see if you received any original issue discounts. Answer "Yes" if this true
8. Select to import your Form 1099-OID or "Type it Myself"
9. Enter your Form 1099-OID and answer the TurboTax follow-up questions about your Form 1099-OID.

To enter your Form 1099-OID, in TurboTax Desktop,  you can:

1. Continue your return
2. Click on "Wages & Income" in your left panel
3. Scroll down to "Less Common Investments and Savings"
4. Click on the (down-facing) caret next to 1099-OID
5. Click on "Start" or "Revisit" next to 1099-OID
6. Your screen will ask "Miscellaneous Income Check any that apply".
7. Select Form-OID for original issue discount income
8. It will ask you to refer to Form 1099-B to see if you received any original issue discounts. Answer "Yes" if this true
9. Select to import your Form 1099-OID or "Type it Myself"
10. Enter your Form 1099-OID and answer the TurboTax follow-up questions about your Form 1099-OID.
