Get your taxes done using TurboTax
I have a somewhat similar problem. I have two 1099-R’s for which the distribution is mostly non-taxable but part is taxable. I enter that information into TurboTax but TurboTax fails to compute the tax on the taxable portion. My “solution” is to enter four 1099-R’s, two for each of the original 1099-R’s, one including the non-taxable portion and the other including the taxable portion. I am entering notes of explanation and hoping the IRS doesn’t audit me or delay my refund because of this bug in TurboTax.
Can anyone suggest a better fix?
