I had already efiled my federal and California returns on March 3rd, 2025. They were both accepted. A day later both federal and state debited my bank account for the taxes that I owed. So I thought I was done! But I just received a new tax form from Canada (NR4) which should be treated just like the IRS 1099-INT form.
So I Amended my 2024 federal and state returns using the same Windows desktop Turbotax Premier Software that I had used for original filing. While going thru the steps, it said that I need to print the federal return and mail it in along with a check (or money order) for the additional taxes I owed. It also said that it would eFile the Califrnia return. However, it seems that Turbotax actually eFiled both returns!
I just want to make sure that the message I saw in Turbotax about printing and mailing is a bug in the software and there is no additional steps that I need to take. Please confirm!
