Get your taxes done using TurboTax
responding to asias94
Sorry to hear that you are in TT limbo and I am presuming that means you have no acceptance/rejection of your TT efiled return by the IRS. Contrary to multiple TT employees claims in posts that TT has nothing to do with your return after you hit the submit button in TT, if you read my previous posts you will see according to financial internet sites that your return is not efiled directly with the IRS (unless you are using the free efile directly at the IRS site which is greatly limited in eligibility and which presumably one would hope goes directly to the IRS but with the government who knows!) as the TT employees are trying IMO to apparently claim/mislead but the efiled return is FIRST as most of us know already sent to a TT processing center where apparently it can be significantly held up by TT for whatever reason some apparently due to IRS rules and some not as many of us with problems have none of the credits or special cases TT employees always try to use as the reason for unreasonable significant delays. (I could find NO third party tax sw that efiles directly to the IRS; that is not how these third party tax sw efiles work apparently.) So if the IRS doesn't accept/reject your return or there is no indication your refund return has been logged in at the IRS, I would have to really wonder what is going on and just why TT is trying to claim no responsibility.
And in one of my previous posts, I ccd the IRS website indicating efiled returns (presumably with no issues) are generally refunded in 21 days if I remember correctly. I also presume this is from the date of acceptance not the day you transmit through TT unless that is the same day which doesn't appear to be happening this year.
I am confused though about your saying you paid TT $340 which is much more than the sw costs even premier--did you pay TT to do some extra service? Some others have also seemed to indicate they paid for a guaranteed return refund w/in a certain number of days which I also don't understand? I wasn't aware of those services, sorry if I am misunderstanding some of the posts. In any case, IMO if you are detailed oriented and organized IMO there should be no reason to be paying TT these extra sort of fees.
Next year I suspect quite a few of us are going elsewhere. I finally gave up and sent in a hard copy of my return which of course will delay the refund significantly but at least I have proof it was sent. Good luck.
