Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Thanks to those who shared thoughts on this issue.  I was planning to try to manually review/update the worksheets with the data that I imported, but after starting TurboTax desktop this morning, I found that the application recalculated things and the data from the 1099 worksheet now flowed correctly.

 

So, probably just the act of closing the TurboTax application, launching it again and re-opening the tax return caused the system to recalculate and thus resolve the issue.
