I'm doing my son's taxes. He got married in June, bought a house together in August, and separated in October (she stayed in the house - she asked for divorce and would not leave). The divorce is final in January 2025.
When entering his updated status - single, married, divorce, legal separated, or death. I did legal separation. So, when Turbo continued, it stated his status should be single.
Read some of the posts and they all state it should be married filing separated. Which one should I do?
