Get your taxes done using TurboTax

This is normal based on how withholding works.

Federal tax withholding is based on your estimated annual income, filing status, and the information you provide on your Form W-4. If your paycheck doesn't reach a certain threshold, you may not have any federal tax withheld because your expected annual income would be below the standard deduction ($15,000 for single filers in 2025).

This doesn't mean there's a problem with how you filled out your W-4. It could simply mean that based on your current income level and withholding settings, the payroll system is calculating that you wouldn't owe federal income tax until you earn more income.

If you'd prefer to have taxes withheld anyway, you'll need to submit a new W-4 to employer and specify an additional amount to withhold on line 4c.
