I ultimately had to pay for Live Advice and pay the extra money because, try as I did,vI couldn't view my current 1040 to compare it to 2023. I received two call backs with long wait times only to be told I had been routed to the wrong person. The third one was very helpful. What we determined was when you enter your 1099 form as income, TurboTax doesn't consider capital gains income and the comparison it gives to the previous year is misleading and inaccurate. The lady I talked to didn't know why. And I'm out an additional $80 to find this out. It was a miserable experience this year.
