Get your taxes done using TurboTax
@ OJD1
In previous years I had always turned that import prompt off. The method to turn off the import prompt is still there this year, but it didn't work for me. Even though I turned it off, it kept asking me. Here's how it was normally done when it was working properly. I haven't tried recently, so go ahead and try if you want, in case something was fixed.
- In your desktop product, go to Federal Taxes.
- Subtab: Wages & Income
- I'll choose what I work on.
- On the Income Summary screen, the first topic is Import Summary. View or update.
- On next screen choose "Add Other Documents".
- On next screen choose blue button "Manage Import Options."
- On next screen choose (yes/no) type of documents you do/do not wanted to be prompted for.
- On next screen choose "I'll type it in myself" and Continue.
- Then you should be back at the Summary screen.
My confidence level is low that it will succeed, since I think that option was broken when they redesigned the interest/dividend/investment interface this year.
