Get your taxes done using TurboTax
I got my problem solved! In large part thanks to this post. Solved: Re: Unable to download state within TurboTax Business 2024 - Page 2
Today's CX person went through her entire script, so the first 90 minutes of the call was spent re-explaining the problem and then trying all of the things I knew wouldn't work, that we'd tried in the past. Several long holds.
I kept insisting we follow this "Pay by Phone" solution but she said it wouldn't work. She said TurboTax's internal database says the NJ return isn't available yet for EFile. She told me to call the state, because e-filing isn't ready. Seems strange, March 2nd with a March 15th deadline and the forms aren't ready for e-filing yet? Even stranger than I can look up availability here State Forms Availability for TurboTax Business and literally show her it is ready. And even more strange that I search on the NJ taxation website and that says the e-filing forms are ready..
Finally, she had given up and told me there was nothing more she could do. I still said I wanted to try the pay by phone option before I hang up. She said we can't do it and she'll transfer me to a supervisor to talk to.
Supervisor did exactly what the above link said to do, and it worked. We paid over the phone 5-10 minutes
One callout for the first person that they did well. The first CX person had a way to share screen. Turbo Tax Business doesn't have a native screenshare solution, so we used https://turbotaxshare.intuit.com/ to download a software called Glance, that lets you share screen outside of the software. Thank goodness, because it was helpful for the supervisor
