INTUIT TURBOTAX ONLINE DECEPTION
Ok. I was doing a return and contacted support through chat to find out how to downgrade my account from the previous year Premium account to a basic free account and the representative walked me through downgrading at which time I found out that I didn’t qualify to file basic free so the downgrade prompt asked me to go back to “Premium” and I said yes and paid for the new year only to realize immediately after paying that Intuit DECEPTIVELY prompted payment for “PREMIUM LIVE” with no other option and I mistakenly paid not understanding what “Live” had meant because I have never ever used “Live” before and had not previously chosen “Live” now, then or any time in the past. To me it is deceptive to purposely hide other filing alternatives. I immediately realized the mistake and contacted support and kindly asked for a refund so I can pay for Premium and was told that once paid you cannot get a refund. What the hell is Intuit’s 60 day money back guarantee if once you pay “money” you cannot get a refund! WTF!
