2024 1040-SR Line 6b TurboTax Calculation Error - Status: Serious risk of IRS tax liability
Line 6a : Social Security Benefits: $38,692
Line 6b : Incorrect Calculation by TurboTax shows as: $18,826
Result: Taxable Income Calculation Error of: $19,866 - Line 6b should be $32,888 ($38,692 * 85%).
Result: Line 15 shows my taxable income as: $80,467 when the actual taxable income should be : $100,333.
MAJOR CALCULATION ERROR could result in IRS tax liability.
I have already paid for the online e-file, but have NOT filed due to this error.
When will you fix this in the online (web-based) application? Please advise ASAP.
