Yes, if the Form 8949 has each transaction listed. If you have, or will e-filed your return and chose not to report each transaction on a separate row (i.e. you reported summary totals) on the electronic return, you must attach Form 8949 to Form 8453 and mail the forms to the IRS. Or you can attach one or more statements containing all the same information as Form 8949, instead of attaching Form 8949, if the statements are in a format similar to Form 8949. If you are mailing Form 8949, it must have each transaction listed. If your 8949 does not have each transaction listed, you have to send the Form 1099-B, or a statement with all of the transaction information.
