Thank you for your explanation! Now I understand.
Since I saw the D in column f on my first entry I thought the other 2 required it too. I also see the 1st entry does have accrued market discount, the other 2 don't.
My 1099-B doesn't show a code for column f, it shows the heading for column f as: Accrued Market Discount and under that heading it only listed the amount of the Accrued Mkt Discount for the first transaction, the other 2 were blank.
