Have you looked on your 1040 Line 25 and form 8889? This is where your HSA contributions are reported. If the amount listed here is above what is entered then that will indicate a data entry error withing the return. To view your form you can click forms in TurboTax Desktop or follow these steps in TurboTax Online:
- Login to TurboTax
- Click Federal
- Click Tax Tool on the left side panel
- Click Tools
- Click View Tax Summary
- Click Preview 1040
Once you have reviewed your return, respond back with if it is reporting over what you entered or if it is showing what you enter.
