Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I guess I am in the what the heck camp here.  I appreciate the questions and responses on the subject BUT this is still a form being reported to the IRS.  If the IRS and TT have an agreement that it's "okay not to report" the issued 1099-Q that's one thing, seems odd to me and not a likely scenario.

The questions I have is who is then tracking the 529 to Roth $35,000 transfer limit?  If not entered on my return, then I'm not (at least officially).  TT asks me to track my ROTH contribution basis for 1099-Rs on rollovers, transfers, etc - so why not 1099-Qs?  Is my 529 provider tracking it?  Not helpful because a person could have two different 529 plans - I don't know if this is possible, but seems like a thing.  So the only remaining choice is the IRS is tracking this threshold because they got the form from my 529 provider?  I know that have super computers and the bandwidth, but doesn't seem like a thing they would do either.  Thoughts?
