Appliances purchased for your personal residence are not deductible. If they are for a rental property, they would be deductible as a ordinary and necessary business expense. Also, if you were in a federally declared disaster area and had to replace appliances not covered by insurance, you may be able to deduct as a casualty loss. Also, if you purchased appliances and donated them to a charity, you would be able to deduct as a charitable deduction.
