Line 1b Sales Tax Per State of Residence is providing a much lower result than the IRS online tool ( https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/individuals/use-the-sales-tax-deduction-calculator ) for the State of Florida, Nassau County. The 2024 TurboTax result is also lower than what the 2023 software provided, even though my 2024 Total available income is slightly higher.
The entered State & Local Rate of 7% in column (4) breaks down properly into (5) State Rate of 6% and (6) Local Rate of 1%, but the calculated values are lower than expected.
