Yes, you correctly understand that you can claim your daughter and that because her social security number was issued before the due date of your return she will be a qualifying child for the child tax and other credits. 

Also, yes, you can file a joint return with your wife.  Since her Social Security number (SSN) was only recently issued, it is possible that your return could be rejected from the e-file system for name/SSN mismatch.  If this happens, you should print the return and file by mail.
