First, check the status of the return.
If it is accepted, check Where's My Refund.
If your return is rejected, you will see the reason, and you can fix the return to resubmit. Sometimes using the Identity Theft Guide for Individuals will allow you to obtain an Identity Protection (ID) PIN for your return.
If, after taking these steps, your return should reject a second time you can consider sending it by mail.
