I had a major boat purchase in 2024 and Texas only requires state tax on the purchase. Why is TurboTax telling me that I am not able to deduct the sales tax?

I had a major boat purchase in 2024 and Texas only requires state tax on the purchase. Why is TurboTax telling me that I am not able to deduct the sales tax?
Local rate is 8.75% and state rate is 6.25%.
