If you're using desktop, you can try a manual download. Sometimes the online update option does not preform the update. Here are instructions for how you can get the latest federal program update:
- Close TurboTax and all other programs except this browser window.
- Select this link to download the 319 MB update.
- Save the update file to your Windows desktop.
- Double-click the update file w_perrelsuperpatch... on your desktop to install the manual update.
We don't offer manual updates for TurboTax state software. If you need to update your state, here are your options.
If the manual update does not correct the option, the other option is the "Type it yourself" option.
